Spring Sudoku: A Garden That Grows with the Grid
Spring Sudoku is classic Sudoku planted with nine tiles from the garden — blossom, butterfly, bee, tulip, spring rain, seedling, ladybug, sunshine, and potted plant. Picture tiles, plain digits, or the two grafted together: whatever is growing, each tile appears exactly once in every row, column, and box.

Because tiles enter the set in order, this board tells a small story as it gets bigger. The 4x4 is a flowerbed already in bloom: blossom, butterfly, bee, tulip. At 6x6 the weather turns and the work starts — the spring rain arrives, and something new goes in the ground as the seedling. By the full 9x9 the ladybug has moved in, the sunshine has finally come out, and the seedling has been promoted to a potted plant. No other tile set on the site grows up quite like this one.
For the gardeners
Spring gardening is mostly waiting: you sow, you water, and then nothing visible happens for a fortnight. A 6x6 fills that gap honestly — it is progress you can watch. One thing worth knowing before you start: there are two flowers on the beginner board, and the tulip is the one with the stem. If the blossom and tulip still trade places on a small screen, the display selector will happily print numbers on everything until the garden behaves.
The season, not the holiday
No eggs, no bunnies, no baskets — those live on our Easter Sudoku board and go back in the cupboard after the long weekend. This one covers the whole stretch from the first warm day to the last frost warning, and it does not mind at all if you play it in a deckchair.
The sunshine is tile eight — it never appears before the full 9x9 board. Gardeners will confirm this is realistic.
